1. THE PROMOTER The promoter is: EV DOT ENERGY Limited, is a company incorporated in England and Wales under No. 11468310 whose registered office is at 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE (“
ev.energy”).
2. THE COMPETITION
2.1 The title of the
competition is
DFS (Demand Flexibility Service) Competition and is contingent on ev.energy being eligible and successful in their application for the DFS payments i.e, the competition only runs if 1 megawatt hour is successfully enrolled onto the programme.
2.2 Win a cash prize of £1000.00
- ev.energy will give £1000.00 as a prize to one participating user for every month that the DFS Competition runs (November 2022 - March 2023 inclusive).
- You can enter the competition in two different ways:
> For each smart charging session over 7kWh you will be eligible for one entry into the monthly prize draw; and/or
> Make a referral to ev.energy and for each successful referral you will get five entries into the draw. A successful referral is defined
here.
- The monthly draw is luck-based and will run from the first to last day of each calendar month.
3. HOW TO ENTER 3.1 The
competition will run from 9.00am GMT on 14.11.22 (the “
Opening Date”) to 18.00pm GMT on 31.03.23 (the “
Closing Date”) inclusive.
3.2 No purchase necessary.
3.3 By submitting a
competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these
terms and
conditions.

3.5 The
competition entries will be entered into a number generator and the winning entry will be selected at random within 30 days of the month end.
4. ELIGIBILITY
4.1 The
competition is open to all ev.energy users in the U.K. who join the Demand Flexibility Service, consent to their smart meter data being shared and complete a smart charge in the relevant entry month (for example a smart charge in December will warrant an entry into the draw in December) and who are aged 18 years or over,
except:
(a) employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
(b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the
competition or its administration; or
(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
4.2 In entering the
competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so, you meet the criteria and you are eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the
competition.
4.3 The Promoter will not accept
competition entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer;
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
(d) photocopies and not originals; or
(e) incomplete.
4.4 There is no maximum limit of entries per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
4.5 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
4.6 Competition entries cannot be returned.
5. THE PRIZE
5.1 The prize is
£1000 which can be won each month during the [and [NUMBER] are available to be won].
5.2 The prize will be paid in cash.
5.3 The prize is not negotiable and not transferable but it can be donated to the Fuel Bank Foundation

5.4 You are only eligible to win the prize draw once i.e. if you win the draw in November, you will not be eligible to receive the prize again in the following months. However, if you are still participating in the programme, you will continue to earn double rewards for every smart charge that you complete over 7kWh.
6. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
6.1 The winner of the
competition will be announced on ev.energy’s social channels, website, and in an email to Demand Flexibility Programme participants immediately after the monthly draw (
Announcement Date).
6.2 The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.3 The Promoter will contact the winner personally by email as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the
competition entry. The Promoter will not amend any contact information once the
competition entry form has been submitted.
6.4 A list of Winners can be viewed on
https://ev.energy/demand-flexibility-service/ from the Announcement Date for a period of 14 days.
7. CLAIMING THE PRIZE
7.1 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available after 3 attempts, or has not claimed their prize within 14 of days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next drawn entrant.
7.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
7.3 If you are not donating your prize and wish to claim it personally, you must share your Paypal details with the Promoter in order to receive the prize. If you do not have a Paypal account then you must create one.
7.4 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
7.5 You will be sent the money (if claimed) within 30 days.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
9.1 If you are the winner of the
competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this
competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
9.2 You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter.
9.3 By entering the
competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the
competition entry may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the
competition.
10. GENERAL
10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these
terms and
conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the
competition.
10.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize
competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.3 These
terms and
conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
