1. Download the Emporia App - Play Store | App Store‍
2. Go to register and register an account. You’ll need to verify your account with two-factor authentication.
3. Once you’ve verified your email, if it’s a new email, then go to Login and login. You should be able to view all existing chargers if there are any there.
4. To add a new charger select the 3 lines in the top left hand corner to go into the settings.
5. From here select ‘EV Chargers’ under the ‘Device Controls’ tab.
6. Select ‘Add a device’
7. Choose the correct option from the options provided. In the case of most people, it should be ‘EV Charger’
8. You should then see a screen telling you to setup the charger. Before doing so, read the installation guide and confirm everything is setup correctly. After that, you can then setup your charger. It will ask you to enter your WiFi credentials.
9. After you enter in your WiFi credentials, the Emporia app may attempt to push a firmware update to the charger. This should take a few minutes. At the conclusion of this step, your charger should be connected to the Emporia app.
10. Once the charger is connected on the Emporia app, you can now proceed to connect the charger to the ev.energy app. Refer to the “How do I connect my Emporia Charger to the ev.energy App?” section.
