This rise in energy prices is hitting hard.

With small businesses likely to go bust and thousands of households set for energy poverty (even with the energy price guarantee), at ev.energy we believe that businesses, governments, and the public all need to engage with smart grid solutions, we need to embrace a renewable, flexible energy system.

While we can help the Government deliver energy sustainability and security through our smart charging technology, we cannot change the price of energy. However, we want to help our customers in any way that we can.

Power in Action – a new way to save on electricity bills

We’re expanding our rewards redemption programme. Between 01 October 2022 and 31 October 2022, customers in the UK can claim, gift  and donate their reward points towards utility bills and charities within the rewards section of our app.

  • Claim money off your energy bills
  • Gift  to friends and family for their energy bills.
  • Donate reward credits to the Fuel Bank Foundation.

Open the app, turn on Smart Charging, and set the smart schedule. For every charge over 10kWh you will accrue 1 point.

Our Commitment to Action

For the month of October, we will be donating £1 for every Smart Charging user on the ev.energy platform. The money will go to the Fuel Bank Foundation which provides people with the financial support and practical advice that they need to get back on their feet.

Help us make a difference by referring your friends to join us through your unique code in the ev.energy app. You also will get 25 additional points to go towards your Rewards.

Nick Woolley, CEO of ev.energy states: “I remain optimistic about the possibilities of an electrified life even if the perception of energy is taking an ugly turn. The challenges we are facing are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to solve our Energy Trilemma for good – equitable, secure energy which doesn’t cost the earth.

We are urging people to look beyond the headlines and think about what a clean and secure energy future could be. We need to electrify everything as fast as possible. We need to dial up renewable resources, knowing we have tools – like electric vehicles and ev.energy – to help balance the grid.

“Today, ev.energy is announcing our Power in Action initiative. We are going to give every EV driver who manages their charging with ev.energy money off energy bills. Drivers can choose whether they want to save on their own energy bill, or donate to someone in need. EVs save drivers money, and we want them to do more for the grid and society. Our goal is to get our drivers to plug in to better. We’re excited to do our bit and make EVs part of the solution to the energy crisis.

In some ways, the crisis provides us with an opportunity to redefine our relationship with energy – let’s not waste it.
