ev.energy is pleased to welcome four interns who will be joining us for the summer.

Hailing from diverse backgrounds and universities across the US, our summer interns will be supporting our engineering & commercial teams on a range of projects including new vehicle integrations and zero-carbon EV charging. Their time with us this summer will be complementary to their programs of study, which range from computer science to energy resources engineering, and will provide them with valuable learning and real-world experience in the energy and tech sectors. While their time with us will be remotely based due to shelter-in-place orders, we’re looking forward to having them join us on Zoom for team socials including Friday Drinks.

Joseph Vellone, ev.energy’s Head of North America, said: “We received a large number of applications from talented and motivated students across the US, and while we originally intended to have only one summer intern join us in Palo Alto, we’re conscious that a number of students had their internships cancelled due to the Coronavirus. ev.energy is fortunate to be experiencing rapid growth amid an economic downturn, and we felt compelled to use our position as a remotely-based team to provide valuable work and educational experience to as many students as possible this summer. I’m very impressed by the skills, motivation and backgrounds of our summer interns and look forward to having Andea, Matt, Dale and James join us this summer.”

Please welcome ev.energy’s four US summer interns!

Andea Scott is a B.S./M.S. student studying Computer Science and Energy Resources Engineering at Stanford University. She is passionate about the cleantech field in addition to all things energy and is excited to learn more about the EV field while interning at ev.energy. In her free time, she loves to travel and create delicious vegetarian food as well as spend as much time as possible in nature.

Matthew Wald joins us from the University of California – Berkeley, where he’s pursuing his MBA at the Haas School of Business. Prior to business school, Matt worked in politics, most recently serving as the Executive Director of a trade association that lobbied on transportation issues. He’s excited to blend his passion for transportation and sustainability to support ev.energy’s growth this summer.

Dale Lee recently completed her BSE in Computer Science at Princeton University, where she will be returning as a masters student in Computer Science in the fall. Outside of ev.energy, she can be found hiking, building furniture, and raising chickens.

James Hartley is a rising sophomore at Princeton University working towards a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. In his free time James loves riding roller coasters and travelling.
