ev.energy celebrates recognition in Global Cleantech 100 for the third consecutive year.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 15, 2025 - ev.energy, the leading EV virtual power plant specialist, has been named on Cleantech Group’s 2025 Global Cleantech 100. This annual list, now in its 16th year, highlights the most promising private cleantech companies making significant contributions to sustainable innovation.

The complimentary report introduces the innovators advancing groundbreaking technologies and business models to address the escalating climate and environmental challenges.

A recent highlight includes the groundbreaking ChargeWise initiative, which involves a partnership with California’s CCAs to deploy 2 GW of additional nameplate capacity across California. This will add to ev.energy's global VPP, which already exceeds 500 MW. The statewide VPP will unlock >300 MW of daily shiftable load, equivalent to displacing three fossil-fuel peaking plants, with a strong emphasis on engaging and benefiting disadvantaged communities.

2025 is set to be a pivotal year for cleantech as market forces intensify and innovation accelerates. Building on trends from 2024, the spotlight is on the economics of products and projects. Companies proving their technologies in real-world environments, without relying on favorable policy support, are positioned for success.

"2025 will be remembered as a transformative year for cleantech. The bar has gone up for what kind of potential novelty, uniqueness, and cost improvements might be attractive," said Richard Youngman, CEO of Cleantech Group. "The Global Cleantech 100 highlights innovators who are building the foundation for a sustainable and economically viable future."

"Being named on the Global Cleantech 100 for the third year running is a tremendous honor," said Nick Woolley, CEO and Co-Founder of ev.energy. "This recognition underscores our commitment to innovation and sustainability. As we continue to build solutions that connect EVs with renewable energy, we’re proud to drive meaningful progress toward a cleaner, smarter energy future."
